Mavis has lived in Ash cottage on the outskirts of Idsworth in Hampshire since 1938. She is a Cooky Green Witch who converses with Fairies. She is a staunch environmental activist who ahs worked her whole life trying to preserve the local Forests. She is not avoided by the locals due to her solitary ways and dislike of human social interactions. Her main companion is a small black cat called Shadow who was gifted to her as a birthday present by Sarah Pulling.
